Suffering for the art...
Day 2 in Scarborough and the fog continues. The Spa Conference Centre is right on the edge of the sea. I don't know this fellow conference attender - but I wonder if she is a blipper? Just a moment before she had been drenched in spray.
The Sea of Faith
Was once, too, at the full, and round earth's shore
Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furled.
But now I only hear
Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar,
Retreating, to the breath
Of the night-wind, down the vast edges drear
And naked shingles of the world.
Matthew Arnold.
