Raw, sharp and sunny

What a joy it was to feel some real cold at last, well, for all of five minutes until my hands began to go numb.

I spent too much time this morning writing of the joys of Quora when I should have been digging out images for a friend - the boring bit of the job. Said goodbye to the decorator, so we can move back in to our living room, then took Pip out to Papercourt Meadow here in search of barn owls, of which there were none. Only three years ago we would see four or five at this spot on a late afternoon like this one. They must have starved during the floods two winters ago.

Note to self: must get a better system for cataloguing raw images.
