Abstract from across the galaxy
It's the graph of radio waves from a pulsar and as soon as I saw it on Stargazing Live tv show tonight I immediately thought of Joy Division's album artwork and...well... copied the idea.
I thought with a bit of playful faffing it would be suitable for Abstract Thursday. Pulsars are really very abstract things, mind boggling bizarre: very small, massively dense and spinning outrageously fast. This one is apparently 18million light years from us, just a hop skip and a jump across the galaxy...cool huh?
I've been doing my bit on the Pulsar Hunters citizen science project...wonder if I helped find this one?
Ciao
