Anna's Hummingbird ...

Mom and I didn't do a lot today .... we had a nice day of rest & relaxation.

First thing this morning I set myself up outside to take pictures of the many hummingbirds that come to a feeder next door.  We only have the Ruby-throated hummingbirds at home (east coast) so I am only guessing when I say this is an Anna's Hummingbird.

In the first extra photo you can see his beautiful bright cap .... it shows up so differently depending on how he holds his head! Amazing!

Oh, by the way .... this is a hand held photo! Sometimes I surprise myself!
