Backpacks for Greece

Visited our new centre this morning where donations of food and clothing for the refugee crisis are being collected, and spent a couple of hours helping to sort out some of the clothing items.

Most of these donations will go to those in refugee camps in Syria - a container lorry will be leaving at the end of this month. These rucksacks have been put together by Calais Action and are being stored at our facility whilst they arrange transport. Each one contains a small survival pack, with a blanket, shoes, etc. The sheer volume has choked me a little. Each rucksack represents a person in desperate need. There are so many here but yet this is just a drop in the ocean.
