The Sentinel
One of my favourite places to stop by is this lighthouse at Whitby Harbour. Being on Lake Ontario, I can almost pretend that I am by the ocean...lacks the wonderful salt aroma but certainly has its fair share of gulls. In winter, I stop by as often as I can because one never knows when the Snowy Owl will make her appearance. For years, one lone Snowy has been wintering in this location and likes to perch at the top of this lighthouse to have a better view of potential "dinner". No sign of her yet....I remain hopeful.
Also, I remain hopeful for another layer of fresh snow tonight so that I can spend tomorrow morning traveling around taking photos. Enjoy your weekend, whatever you do :)
