Kalter Kaffee

Cold coffee

Has a double meaning:
Of course cold coffee is a cold coffee, and surprisingly it can't be cold enough outside for some people to drink a coffee alfresco. It was freezing cold this morning, strong wind and I couldn't believe to see this coffee cup there. Yes - it's snow on the table. No - there is no outdoor heating as in Parisian cafés.

In German 'Kalter Kaffee' is also a saying about old boring items or stories, e.g.todays news are cold coffee tomorrow.
