View down into Farndale from Blakey Ridge

We were lucky to make the journey over the moor this morning as the road had been closed earlier, when you passed the Lion Inn at the summit there were five foot high banks of snow left from the snowplough and the road down into Castleton was snow covered with ice, quite interesting to drive!
Our route back was over to Whitby and the Fylindales to Pickering road and it was clear with just snow on the sides of the road.
