A chilly half hour on the prom.
Its been a tough day in the supermarket. This morning my checkout lady was in tears because she should have gone for her lunch an hour ago and hadn't been allowed to go, yet. I abandoned the queue to talk to the supervisor. I was almost in  tears too. Busy, upmarket shop that prides itself on being the best...... 
Then had to witness two year old being spanked by her mother in Sainsburys. Followed by grandma saying, "Right, you're not going to the party tomorrow and if you don't behave I'll hit you very hard." Didn't have the confidence to intervene on this one, it took me straight back to being a small child.
