A Lot of Progress!

The block I glued back together yesterday after cutting out the middle, is already looking like a box -- albeit an unconventional one. It isn't very noticeable in the photo, but the sides are tapered.

The outside contours were sawn with the bandsaw, then effortlessly rough-sanded to shape with my oscillating profile sander. That tool saved me hours of drudgery, with better results than I could have achieved otherwise. It also was invaluable in creating my reindeer herd. I absolutely love that machine!

I played pickleball in the morning, had a quick shop session after lunch, went to yoga in the afternoon, and had another shop session before dinner. It was a busy and satisfying day!
