My tie
Busy old day. Started early when the smoke-detector started beeping (rather like that sonar ping in Das Boot) to tell me that the batteries needed replacing. This was at 4am.
Real proper work was 90 minutes drive to attend a degree ceremony in a prison. Note I'm not calling it a graduation ceremony - our graduates graduate in absentia shortly after they fulfil the requirements of their degree. Our ceremony is formally a "presentation of graduates". I've known this student for a while and we had a good turn-out of OU folk, prisoners and prison staff. Not a dry-eye in the house during the brief presentation and there were speeches from the governor and education staff and the graduate.
Home now for beer and pizza. The image is my tie on the car seat - I took it off on the way back. You'll note that it is in the OU colours.
I hope your day is working too. Zum whol!
