There's only a thin layer of snow, but any is enough for some of the local kids to get their sledges going.
Last night was the coldest night of the Winter so far, at -4.3 Celsius on the gauge by the house. It's usually a couple of degrees colder away from the building. Not that cold really. It's been a while since we've had double figures below zero. May try setting up a proper weather station... someday.
Lots of birdlife fighting over the food in this weather. At one point there were four or five Robins chasing each other about. Spreading the food about means they're all likely to have something, as no single bird can defend several areas at once... though they will try to do so.
