Owlicious!

You can blame Sketchphoto for this one. I caught his eggy blip at breakfast time this morning and then nothing but eggs would do!

The day started early as Leo persuaded me out of bed at 6am. After an eggy owl and cup of tea for me we headed out at 7am for Leo's Saturday treat of maple syrup pancakes at McDonalds. It was a bit of a chore having to de-ice the car at that time of the morning just for that!

Then we wrapped up warm and headed out for Leo's footie match. The pitch was crunchy from the frost but also like a bog, so we crunched and sunk our way through it as spectators and the poor kids just slid or got stuck. Sadly true to form, the Cobras lost 5-0 so that is them out of the cup. No trip for them to St James' Park :(

Leo doesn't seem too upset - he was more miffed that he had to stay in goal the whole time. He can usually persuade someone else to do the second half so he can try and get a goal but no-one could be persuaded today. I don't think they fancied diving on a cold, muddy, frosty pitch - can't blame them!

Once we got home and thawed out I couldn't face heading back out in the cold again so we have spent the rest of the day in lazy pursuits at home.
