Saturday: Tin Ujevic

It was a leisurely day today - slept to a reasonable hour but not too late, and then into town for a look round and the shops and some general ambling.  K. did particularly well in the sales.  This statue, downtown, is of Tin Ujevic, considered to be Croatia's most significant poet.  

We watched an excellent documentary this evening, 'What Happened, Miss Simone?'.  It was a fascinating insight into Nina Simone, an included some excellent footage.  But it was as interesting about the civil rights movement as it was about her.  Search it out, it's really worth it.
