season's first

one of my favorite aspects of summer is watching the produce progress. from those first spring wonders to the final crops of late fall, each new item is like a little bundle of joy for me.

so i couldn't help but jump for joy when the season's first peaches arrived at the farmers market on wednesday (so early!). particularly because i had just read a recipe for peaches roasted with maple syrup, fresh lime juice, and thyme. utter perfection served over my favorite vanilla ice cream (julie's organic)!
