The Aftermath.........

of the devastating fires last week.  Looks like snow - it's ash!!

We are back in Perth (internet at last!!!) and passed through this area on the way home. The fire had jumped the highway and caused the closure of two of the main arterial roads to the South West.

This  is our first view - 200 kilometres south of the main fire. The perimeter was over 250kms!! Over 200 buildings destroyed, 2 dead and I can't bear to think of the native animals, birds, reptiles and of course the cattle, sheep and horses lost in the inferno. So sad......

Thanks for being so generous while I have been almost incommunicado. Hopefully "they" are putting another tower a few kms away from us - fingers crossed we will get a signal!!
