Ella and her Dad

We had dinner with our friends Thierry, Aude and little Ella (15 months) tonight--oysters on the half shell with champagne, and much more.  This was one of several impulse shots I took just after our arrival.  Ella is  exhausted (clutching our little present), having traveled all day with no nap from the Bordeaux area with her mom and grandmother. She would shortly be put to bed.  Here are the three of them a year ago.  Marylee has known Thierry since 1991 when she rented his apartment during her 19-month sojourn in Paris.

Posted the next day--we took the long subway ride back home, getting to bed after midnight.
