Angkor Wat

We spent this day seeing the Angkor temples. I had been before but when I was there last in 2006 it was rainy season and the sunrise/sunset was a bit of a non event and the skies were overcast. It was great to go back at see the sun rise properly over the temple. I was amazed at how busy it has become. In 2006 I was one of about twenty people watching the sun rise. This time there were hundreds crammed into a spot in front of a small lake to watch sunrise. We went back for sunset and the light was better so that was when this photo was taken. We also saw some of the classics, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm. It was very hard to choose photos for today but this one along with the extra which is the famous tomb raider scene tree at Angkor Thom won.
