Mine, all mine!
I woke to see a white covering in the garden, on this, my 64th birthday. Where did all those years go, I wonder?
It was not actually snow, but a very heavy frost. All day the birds have been in a feeding frenzy, so I thought I might blip one. Our main feeding station is against the north facing wall of our house and is always in the shade. I put some of the fat and oat mix, plus mealworms, on the stump of the cherry tree on the back lawn. I stood for ages, hiding behind a tree. Then I took the hide out and sat in that. I should remember that the birds have a rest over lunchtime and a final feed just before dusk. Also the new feeding area is on open lawn and they don't like being exposed.
Eventually a brave robin arrived.
Perhaps tomorrow will be more productive.
Margret, next door, has invited us there for dinner tonight with other friends. Then on Wednesday, the Haltwhistle Walkers will come here for refreshments after our walk.
I'm glad to be alive and to have so much of interest in my life. It is rarely, if ever, dull
