The Torch
Normally I would moan about working on a day off. Not today. I had a front row seat of history (aboard the media bus) as the Olympic Torch was carried through the streets of Bury.
The expressions on the faces of the torch carriers was just priceless.
The phrase 'money can't buy' is over-used, but today I felt it couldn't have been more appropriate.
Pictured here is torch bearer Billy Baxter. He was blinded whilst serving in Bosina, and at the end of the relay through town, he was greeted by his daughter and four granddaughters.
Well done Billy.
