Fiona's 'Vintage Tea Party'

Unfortunately Gill wasn't happy about driving up from Troon in the snow, so I went to Fiona's afternoon tea party, to celebrate her recent retiral, on my own. I knew there would be several familiar faces there, having been to Fiona's Jubilee Garden Party a few years ago.

There were about a dozen of us there, so, as you can imagine, the noise level was pretty high with everyone nattering in small groups, but it was a lovely afternoon and the old-fashioned treats - sandwiches, scones, butterfly cakes, fruit loaf - were delicious. Some guests, and the hostess herself (see extra) had even dressed in 50s-style outfits.

I don't think I'll need any supper...
