Gundagai

We left Melbourne this morning for our Blipmeet in the Blue Mountains. We stayed overnight in Gundagai at a lovely motel kindly recommended and arranged for us by WalkingWombat. Today is our 5th wedding anniversary. We had plans for a special dinner at Supernormal but decided we would rather leave a day earlier for the Blip meet. I have driven through Gundagai many times but never looked around. The view from the lookout over the valley and several old wooden bridges was lovely.
Being Sunday in a small country town there were not many options for dinner. After so much seafood in Port Douglas we rather fancied a steak. I never thought we would celebrate at the local services club eating a steak at a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant had separate wine waiters who didn't know anything about the wines. I don't mean to sound snobby but I am, after all, from Melbourne. At least we both found it amusing and our trip Ro Port Douglas was really our celebration.
Can't wait for our Blipmeet tomorrow.
