Marilyn Monroe

Had a nice little trip out to see friends in Ironbridge today, intending to do a little photography walk along the way. Turns out the weather was mostly miserable, and Ironbridge is such a beautiful place I refuse to take photographs of any of it unless it's shown in its full glory.

So we got as far as the local pub, and settled in for a while in front of a nice open (fake) fire. And as we put the world to rights, I couldn't help notice the room was watched over by this wonderful iconic portrait of Marilyn Monroe, and decided that it deserved to be my picture today.

I'd have this in the bedroom if I thought I could squeeze it by Mrs G.
