Worth the effort

The guidebook says the following..."The old gun emplacement at Cenizas offers some of the most spectacular views of the area. The gradient up the hill is fairly constant but is made difficult by the loose surface. By bike it is recommended only for more experienced cyclists. It's a long hard climb up the hill but is well worth the effort".

If you'd told me after the first morning that I would cycle up there every day except one of the holiday then I would have laughed in your face. A bit like Mrs Smith did in fact when she opened the door to the villa on my return and saw the pathetic sweaty mess in front of her.
