It's a coverup

Neighbours across the way are having an extension. I do like to take shots showing how a building site develops so this is no exception. I'll post a shot of the completed extension in due course.

A sprinkling of snow this morning, like a small bag of flour had been sparsely dusted over surfaces. It didn't last long and had gone before we went out for a walk later on in the morning.

The afternoon was spent doing more research on where to stay on our side trip to the Grand Canyon when we're over seeing Chris and De'Shaun in San Diego. In the end we had a complete change of plan. We're now thinking of going back to Yosemite for 4 nights and perhaps to Palm Springs earlier in the trip.

We were in Yosemite in September 2014 at the end of a long drought. We always wanted to see the park in a different season and all the guidebooks suggest March to May was the best time to go. The cabin we had last time was available, so the omens are good. Palm Springs would make a good contrast, being in the desert with several canyon walks on offer.
