Killing Fields

This was a sombre day looking around the Killing Fields and the prison in Phnom Penh and hearing about the atrocities committed there by the Khmer Rouge. I was reading a book called "First They Killed My Father" which is a first hand account from a girl who was 5 years old when the Khmer Rouge took over. I highly recommend it. I have been to these places before but they were still just as shocking the second time.

Jenny rightly said that it didn't feel right to take photos of skulls or bones poking out of the ground so she took this instead which I think is very fitting.
