Long tailed tit - Aegithalos caudatus

Variable weather today - one minute rain - the next sunshine  -  you can see some slashes of rain in my blip - it didn't worry those long tailed tits that mobbed the bird tray. I've never had them in my garden before and hadn't thought that they ventured so far north - so it was quite exciting to see such a large group. Never had a group of birds before - they (robins, blackbirds, sparrow, blue tits) usually come singly or just a couple - but I learn that long tailed tits have a complex social system and are almost always seen in small parties. You can learn more by clicking HERE!  Have a nice day,everyone:)
