Little toughies
I believe these are Burgundy Bleeding Bonnets. Mycena haematopus. I should have remembered that the identification can be confirmed by breaking the stem which releases a liquid looking like blood.
They are quite common. But they are hardy little things as yesterday they were under snow. They are growing on a moss covered log which was laying up against a wall so they may have been fairly sheltered.
