Just another manic Monday

I wish!

Today has been dire to say the least.

An 8 hour day with the grand sum of 7 patients (2 of which didn't turn up); I had nobody booked in from 10.15 til 3pm....that's a looooooooong time to keep myself occupied. There's only so much CPD my brain can cope with!

The forthcoming weeks are much the same if not worse, which I have brought to the attention of our temporary manager, with the suggestion to have me work just half a day (even though that means less pay for me), as it was much busier when I was doing that before Christmas.
To be fair to the reception team, they're really doing their best to get patients booked in, but ultimately it's up to the dentists to refer them through to me.

However, the powers that be have said they don't want me to reduce my hours, so here I am, trying desperately to stay awake!
