The Donald

As you may know, The Donald has built a golf course a few miles south of here. In the process he destroyed a sand dune system so important that it was designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. That should have protected it, but it didn't, much to the shame of Aberdeenshire Council and particularly the Scottish Parliament who tore up the protection.

On his course website The Donald has this to say. "When I saw this piece of land I was overwhelmed by the imposing dunes and rugged Aberdeenshire coastline. I knew that this was the perfect site for Trump International, Scotland. I have never seen such an unspoiled and dramatic sea side landscape and the location makes it perfect for our development." The man clearly doesn't know the meaning of irony!

Anyway, all I can say to The Donald is that the hazards on our local course at Newburgh are more hazardous than are his, and our bunker much the more impressive; as can clearly be seen in the photograph!
