Not looking good . . .

A phone call from friend J this morning to say she'd slipped on the icy rocks on beach, her ankle very sore and was swelling up horrendously.  By the time I got to her, she'd managed to hobble home, accompanied by her little dog, Scratch. 

We drove to A&E where she was x-rayed and plastered, given a heparin injection and painkillers and a crash course on using crutches!  Back again on Wednesday for an appointment at the Fracture Clinic.  Pins and plates have been mentioned. . .   

So very easily done, but good for her having her mobile with her  - and falling in a place with a decent signal!
