Tommy is home

Avian vet: He expected that Tommy could be sent home without the meds. He got them till late this afternoon including a crop feeding. He than got 15 cc formula, so that is probably the reason he wasn’t hungry.
If I would keep on giving the meds that could also give the effect that Tommy again starts to throw up, so that was the reason to try to stop with it. This afternoon Tommy was quite active and “helping” dr. Peter with computer stuff. Blood results told us that the calcium level was too low. It was 1,9 and it has to be way above 2. Starting again with giving hem extra of this. He also wrote that Tommy ate quite good today and that his poop also looked much better. The results of the cloaca- and crop swab he expects only in the end of the week.  So… now it is waiting and of course keep a good eye on Tommy. Last but not least…. Tommy went through a lot the last few days.. so I have to realize that he will act somewhat different because of that.
