Phi Phi Boat Tour

We went on one of the many boat tours from phi phi. It included many snorkelling stops between visits to some of the islands nearby Phi Phi.

One of the islands we stopped at was the on with Maya bay, where they filmed the beach. To get to it they went around the back of the island and we had to jump out into the fairly choppy waters, make our way along the coral and climb on this net.

The net took us onto the rocks that went onto a clearing on the island. A path through the light jungle lead us to the beach. It's pretty impressive when you step onto the white sand with the enclosed bay, high rocks on each side.

The photo is from one of the many stops. We were throwing rice for the fish, Courtney kept on throwing them at me so that the fish swarmed me.

There was a Chinese family on our boat, they had brought some tongs and chop sticks and were taking spiny urchins from the sea bed and eating them raw on the boat!!
