A Sight For Sore Eyes!

(Back blip - so busy!!!) - Lapwings are in peril, they're on the RSPB red list, a sad decline due to modern farming practices, hence loss of habitat - but there's this huge flock here - breathtaking - it's been getting bigger all winter and they spend they're whole days out in the fields, usually on arable, looking for worms and then come roosting time, they fly around, quartering the skies, until they disappear over the horizon - this is not a technically brilliant photograph, too many trees in the way and they were a long way off... But I caught it just to share this amazing rare sight - I feel so privileged to see them! :) xx
