SALFORD QUAYS, MANCHESTER

Usually our birding expeditions involve woods, bogs, or turnip fields, so today was a bit different. I was mesmerised by the buildings, I'm just not used to seeing these sights. Must get out more.

The bird was a Great Northern Diver and we saw it quite close up, when it wasn't diving.
