4th of july cupcakes, beach style

I tried to like cupcakes for long time with not much success, but I am a huge fan of the creativity associated with the making of them. These 4th of July special edition ones are a typical example of what I just meant above....Mike's little nieces Megan and Julia chose the beach theme this year: marine blue frosting, bear cookies and gummi life savers! ( on some of them the bears were surfing!)
What a decadent combo, but still super cute!! :)
