Lost horizon

Not the 1933 book by James Hilton nor the 1937 film by Frank Capra starring Ronald Colman.

We awoke to a light fog which hadn't lifted by the time we got down to the sea, but had been happily dispersed by the sunshine by the time we returned home. 

I can now use the zoom on my new Samsung S6, but at the maximum of 8 times there is some distortion - or was it just the fog ?
