Being Creative - 2

As you can see, our daughter has made good progress with her art project.

The black and white symbol is the Chinese symbol for love (she hopes she's copied it correctly). We joked that it would be a bit of a worry if a visiting Chinese friend were to look in her bedroom and burst out laughing - only then would we know if we'd got it wrong!

Back in 2005 at the launch of a 10-year tourism strategy, we tourism folks were told that by 2015 all our websites would need to be in Chinese as well as English. I'd better find a Chinese friend to translate ours soon then.

On a completely different subject, I was thinking about my Dad today. The 5th of July 1932 was his birthday, so this would have been his 80th birthday. It's hard to imagine what he would have been like at 80, but I really wish we'd had the chance to find out. I expect we'd have been having a big family get-together and a few drams of The Macallan to celebrate. Miss you Dad.
