Lichfield Cathedral Library

A glorious morning, with pink-streaked sky and misty frost, and I decided to go to the study day in Lichfield Cathedral on the bus.

I'd taken at least 30 shots before I got to the bus stop, and the young university student already waiting there, was also snapping with her smart phone. Too good to miss.

I walked across the last bit of Beacon Park, past the Library, and approached the Cathedral from a slightly different angle. The mist and colours were special, hence my choice.

The study morning, about the wonderful Chapter House (with the original 13th Century tiled floor) and the contents of the Library, was amazing. Totally recommend it, but you have to book well in advance. I've included an extra shot of the interior.

We are so lucky to live in Staffordshire.
