A new obstacle

A look at the weather forecast meant a quick change of plan for today and I managed to get out for a round of golf with a friend. It was gloriously sunny and not too cold, with no wind. Although we haven't had snow since Sunday we encountered a snowman to the left of the fairway on the first hole and then on the 9th we discovered this new obstacle right in the middle of the fairway in front of the green! Thankfully we both avoided it and didn't have to look up the rules of play after burying your ball in a snow sculpture! 

It was a good round and we treated ourselves to a hot chocolate and chat afterwards. 

This afternoon I managed to make a start on tackling the study monster. I have a battle on my hands!
