Gassendi

The crater Gassendi (named after a 17th century French scientist) was nicely illuminated tonight and is seen as a member of an interesting trio of decreasingly sized, overlaid features. The largest is Mare Humorum, then Gassendi and the smallest of the three is the imaginatively named Gassendi A. Gassendi itself is over 60 miles in diameter.
