Happy Birthday, Big Fella!

For son Joshua's birthday, I treated him to lunch at Oakland's new restaurant, the Town and Country Cafe. I'll tell you what, for a little one horse, podunk town, this restaurant is first class. It just opened this week, but the place was packed, a sign that the folks here are ready for some place like this. Josh and I had great conversation, talking over local events and, of course, basketball. We agreed that things are looking up for the season. By the time that we polished off our sandwiches, the word was out that it was the Big Man's birthday, and here they came...the whole wait staff, and the rest of the diners serenaded him with Happy Birthday, with this donut of some wild sort. A little embarrassing for him, but it was a great topper. Best lunch of this basketball season. Happy birthday, Joshua.
