I have never seen anyone go in or out of this room, off the common room at the London Metropolitan Archives...which is often a sea of beige and grey, due to the preponderance of the retired classes getting their silver surfing on and researching their family history.

The sea of beige, or biscuit cream, or any other shade in the pantone/dulux colour range, is broken up by the odd check shirt, or blue blazer of a 'real' historian, or the scruffy off the hook hipster look courtesy of Topman/Shop of the up-and-coming academics.

What they really need though is a decontamination room, or some buckets of swarfega as them old documents are flipping dirty, with not only history contained within their dusty pages, but over 150 years of dirt and grime
