One of the more pleasing aspects of being a lifelong Owls fan, and thence a collector of images, is that people recognise the fact at Christmas and other times by presenting me with owls.

This year was no exception, so here goes for a few days.... And no apologies.

This one came from Kate and Roger. I am reasonably confident that it is actually an owl, and I would say a Snowy Owl.

Sad thing is that he presents himself as if he has recently consumed half the world population of passerines, is grossly obese, probably incapable of flight, and trying to sleep it all off on our banister!

Slightly quirky therefore, if not bizarre, but here he is "Snowy Owl Corpulensis Blancus"
