Oranjestad, Aruba

This morning, we docked at Oranjestad -- the capital city of Aruba.  Unfortunately, I woke up feeling as though I had a hive of bees in my throat -- very sore, and hardly any voice!  Consequently, we didn't venture far at all today.

The ship is docked in a rather busy and unattractive cargo area, and the walk to town -- although certainly doable -- really didn't appeal.  We didn't have any shore excursions planned, and as the ship is only in port until 1:30 this afternoon, we decided simply to stay aboard.

The picture on the left shows the Carnival Triumph steaming past us on its way to her berth.  It looks like we are having a race, doesn't it!  The picture on the right shows the view of the port from the aft of our ship.
