Did you know that it costs €50 per year to 'rent' a grave here in Germany?
It really is quite surprising what I can learn in an English lesson - you also have to bury the ashes of someone who's been cremated*, unless you haul the corpse to the Netherlands and cremate it there, then you can keep the ashes in a fancy urn on your mantelpiece...


* had to teach them that you cremate people you love, burning (which is the verb they kept wanting to use) is what you do to witches.
