Eycott Hill Nature Reserve

Two nights ago I went to a talk by Kevin Scott from Cumbria Wildlife Trust, he is such an enthusiastic speaker and so passionate about the nature reserves he manages. He told us about Dubbs Moss which is the one most local to us and then went onto speak about the latest reserve they have bought which is at Berrrier near Penrith.
Today we had to go and get some things from Go Outoors in Penrith so came back via Eycott, we have come past the site often but I felt we should stop today and get a few pictures. Only stayed on the side of the road as hadn't the right gear for tramping over the field. The back roads in that area are still fairly icy but was worth the slow drive for the views.
