Excellent Photographs ...

... in an exhibition of the Walther Collection, entitled "After Eden."  They are at the Maison Rouge in Paris--literally hundreds of photographs, nearly all in series.  The large gallery shown here has sixty portraits by the German August Sander  (1876-1974), from his iconic work, Antlitz der Zeit (Face of the Time, 1929, on the left wall).  I also especially enjoyed  other early Germans:  120 images of plants by Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) , and two large grids of industrial structures by Bernd & Hilla Becher . A very special experience.
