Ol' Blue Eyes
Not the blue-eyed boy as far as the fishermen are concerned. Cormorants are sea birds that have moved inland and they have voracious appetites for fish.
I walked from Hooks Marsh towards Hall Marsh Scrape, hoping to see the bullfinches that the guy who was with me when I shot the posturing bittern had seen in the area. No sign of them.
I captured this cormorant near the Plover Viewing Screen. This is a wing-shaped metal structure with slits in it. Surprisingly there wasn't a single bird on the flooded meadow beyond.
Jack Heron was fishing a little further on. I've added him to extras.
