Durst Automatica

This 35 mm viewfinder camera was the first one to offer automatic exposure setting; the aperture was set by the photographer, and the camera took a light reading with a selenium meter then set the shutter speed. There was also a manual mode. The camera was made from 1959 until 1963, when the company stopped making cameras and concentrated on enlargers, which they are well known for. It's very nicely engineered, but I think the meter will probably have died by now. 

I would have liked to catch the moon again tonight, or even perhaps the forecast aurora, but all I can see is thick cloud.
